Tuning without a tuner

So, you need to change key on your uke or you don’t have your electronic tuner handy? Not a problem, you can easily tune your uke to itself. Here’s how:

  2. you really don’t need to be “in tune” to re-tune your uke using this method (if I understand your question)

    You tune your other strings to match the E string. So, if you choose to change your E string to a D, then all the other strings will be tuned down a step too. Clear as mud?
